Six-time Mora Vasaloppet 58K Champion Chad Giese will lead a Fall Mora Vasaloppet Cross-Country Ski Clinic from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Mora Vasaloppet Nordic Ski Center on the north side of Mora. Youth (seventh grade and up) and adults from beginners to experienced are encouraged to participate in this clinic, which is being sponsored by the Mora Ski Club.

Giese, who in addition to being recognized as a world-class skier is also a Mora native, will cover training for a marathon ski, making the transition to snow, dryland drills, roller ski technique with emphasis on legs/weight transfer and strength. Participants will have a chance to try these techniques on dry land and using roller skis.

There will be an optional afternoon pole walk or roller skiing.

Participants are being asked to bring their own ski poles, ski boots, roller skis if owned - as well as a lunch.

A bike helmet is required for roller skiing. Drinks and snacks will be furnished, and comfortable clothes and running shoes are recommended.

The clinic fee is $10 for students (grades 7-12) and $20 for adults. Interested skiers who have not already registered can do so by completing the registration form from the Mora Ski Club Web site- located at www.moraskiclub.org.
